Ralph Lauren Pure Romance Inspiration

I am a romantic, How about you? I don’t care that Valentines is a Hallmark Holiday because people need to be reminded of love, romance, and that silly rush of blood to your head when you see the one you love. One of my favorite places to find my trinkets of affection is Rogers Gardens in OC. I love walking through the nursery this time of year because it’s bursting with tulips and wonderful inspirational displays of gifts. I did find a few things for some of my loved ones and I can’t wait till next Saturday!

Fashion Week YouTube Lookbook

 After a multitude of computer crashes (Thank you #NYFW social media and content) I've finally posted my Fashion Week Lookbook on my YouTube channel Beauty by SW.




Thanks to Valerie Lee Owner of Chateau Bel Age Boutique for the use of her beautiful store, I could live in there. Some of the outfits didn't get full OOTD during the world wide phenomenon know as New York Fashion Week simply because it wasn't quite Fall Fashion weather but still all the outfits I would wear to a dinner, event or luncheon. I have shopped with Le Bel Age for the better part of my life because Valerie's choices in fashion are timeless and chic.I will have to share my jewelry collection with you all sometime, I've amassed a small bioux store at home. Mara Hoffman Runway Hits New Highs!

Mara Hoffman’s Fall Collection has hit a level of sophistication that had been missing in some of her past shows.  She has definitely hit a stride that I’m sure will translate into sales for this designer house.

So Today was the first day of school for Little W and a day of editing, and NY Fashion Week Prep for me. Of course I was trying new mascaras and sure as the sun shines my eyes puffed up and have been burning all day. Thankfully this happened now and not while I’m shooting video. Most days I try to wear professional yet fashionable clothing seeing as I am in the beauty industry, even if I am the only person who sees the outfit (well my BFF Mrs. F and Quixote see the outfits and if I post?) so yeah I guess more people see my OOTD than I imagined.

Alon is our generations Erte. Alon Livne’s NYFW spring show was packed with beauty. It’s no wonder Beyonce had him design her cherry red dress for her “Mr. Carter World Tour”. 

Where to stay during NYFW spring

The Hudson Hotel during Fashion Week is the center of the universe for me.

I love this space. The library is a favorite spot, not just because of its comfort but because I imagine I’m the Duchess in the Gossip Girl episode with Nate Archibald, remember that one! (Here’s the link with caution). The Hudson seems to be a fashion insider favorite for NYFW. I see that two of my favorite fashion bloggers are staying here, peaceloveshea.com and kayture.com. My personal love affair with the Hudson and the Columbus Circle area started when I first attended the WWD CEO Summit. While exploring one evening  I came across Shun Lee Café, by far the best Chinese food in NY and its super close to the fashion action.
