 About BBSW

Beauty by SW (BBSW) is home to Shaun Wolchinsky (beauty expert), style stories and product reviews.  BBSW is where I share my daily choices on fashion, beauty and lifestyle, as well as give advice and a glimpse of my life, the things I love, brands and projects that work and some that don’t.

   In NYC

While I owned a boutique in California (which was the featured in Lucky Magazine), I longed for the fashion world in NYC. I moved to New York and started work at NYFW and in editorial magazine work that was featured in WWD, Hint, Surface and others.

 I was already a Regional Artistic Director for TIGI hair care in Southern California and on the East Coast which would then include Canada. I was traveling teaching the TIGI/Toni & Guy methods of cutting and styling. The traveling became a bit too much so I then took the position of Senior Art Director with Toni and Guy Salon NYC. This move allowed me the freedom to work in magazines and fashion shows with a clear vision. 
My expert advice on beauty was then a natural progression for me as I had already been featured in editorial session work. I leant my beauty and style expertise to magazines such as Real Simple, Lucky Magazine, and others. After 15 years in the fashion industry I took a break and had a sweet baby girl. She's now old enough that I feel confident in my return to the fashion industry. My passion for all things of beauty is a constant that I enjoy sharing with the world.
